There is an shocking amount of misinformation and misunderstanding going on right now regarding Iran and Israel, and what brought us to this situation.

To understand what is going on, we need to go back 46 years, to 1979, when Ruholla Khomeini established the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) during the Iranian Revolution and replaced the Pahlavi Dynasty of the Imperial State of Iran with the “Islamic State of Iran”.
The history of the Iranian Revolution is exceedingly complex, but what is important for our purposes is that from the first days of the revolution the IRGC was Anti-American. On Nov 4, 1979 Khomeini supporters stormed the US Embassy in Tehran, leading to the Iran Hostage Crisis that lasted nearly 18 months.
Ayatolla Khomeini hated the US, and spent 1979 and 1980 explicitly calling for the death and destruction of the US, which he referred to as the “Great Satan”.
But it wasn’t just the US – Khomeini hated Britain as well. In 1979 he called for death and destruction of the UK because of the UK’s historical ties with the Shah prior to the revolution.
“Death to America” and “Death to the UK” were the first call signs of the IRGC.
At this point Israel was an afterthought – deemed the “Little Satan”.
During the 1980s the IRGC did two notable things: Solidify a global network of Jihadi-aligned death cults, and globalize terrorism.
This continued in the 90’s as well. The list of IRGC backed terror incidents that happened around the globe is startling, either directly supported by the IRGC or indirectly. In addition, the IRGC inspired countless lone-wolf terrorists who were motivated by “Khomeinism”, which espoused the most extreme and violent version of Jihad - spreading Islam through war.

What the IRGC did in the 80s and 90s was to export and proliferate their unique brand of Islamo-fascist Jihadi kill-mongering directly to the front door of the Western World, expanding their tentacles across the globe. The root of IRGC’s terrorism is offensive.
Thousands of peole died, all because the IRGC deems anybody who is not an Islamo-fascist jihadi a kafir, and therefore deserves to die.
Israel was just an irritating thorn in the global agenda of the IRGC.
Over the years the IRGC has caused irreparable death and destruction across the Middle East.
Iran - and I mean the IRGC - has been directly involved with the deaths of millions in the Middle East.

This is driven by two factors. First is the 1300 years of hostility and violence between the Shia and Sunni camps of Islam (Iran is Shia). Secondly is that the IRGC wants complete Jihadi domination and couldn’t handle the fact that some countries wanted to move on and progress.
As much as there is rampant hatred of Jews in the region, many, if not most, of the countries surrounding Israel realize that the IRGC is much more dangerous.
The countries in the Middle East also realize the fact that Israel ultimately does not look to export terror and death, whereas the IRGC actively attacks, both locally and globally.
Iran, and I mean IRGC, actively pursues a policy of death.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman, current de-facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, went on record saying:
“I believe the Iranian supreme leader makes Hitler look good. Hitler didn’t do what the supreme leader is trying to do. Hitler tried to conquer Europe. … The supreme leader is trying to conquer the world.”
But Israel - the “Little Satan” - was always there, close enough to merit attention, and became the inevitable stepping stone toward Islami-fascist Jihadi domination.
Before the Revolution Iran was flourishing.
It was still a monarchy, but Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi set out on an ambitious plan for modernization, including massive campaigns to push literacy and education, particularly for women. Westernization, industry, and women’s rights were hallmarks of Iran, which was one of the fastest growing economies in the world in the mid 70s.
All of that came to a screeching halt with Ayatollah Khomeini.
The desire to impose fascist Jihadi totalitarianism externally was matched by the brutal crackdown internally.
What emerged over the last decades is what many today are sadly ignorant of: The IRGC is probably the most flagrant abuser of human rights.
In order to maintain a stranglehold on the population, the IRGC is notorious for excessive force, torture, no due process, imprisonment, executions, and every other violation you can think of.
And it is not a bug in the system, it is a feature. It is how the IRGC maintains control.

What all of these leaders know, as well as leaders in the greater Middle East, even if they don’t say so publicly, is that the IRGC does not want nuclear weapons for deterrence.
The IRGC wants nuclear capabilities specifically for the purposes of expanding and proliferating their global aims of death and destruction.
Imagine a world where the IRGC provides nuclear arms to every one of their associated groups around the world. That is why the entire world - even those who are currently silent - are worried about.

Israel right now is doing what decades of negotiations, sanctions, carrot-and-stick diplomacy, and international agreements have failed to do.
Israel, alone, is attempting to rid the world of the potential death and destruction that the IRGC would inflict upon the globe if they had nuclear capabilities.

This time is different because there is proof.

So it’s “Do or Die”. This was inevitable. And Israel, as the front line of the IRGC’s global hate and death campaign, has the most to lose and therefore took action.
